This IQ Game takes the bead-piece fitting puzzle into one-on-one play. The case opens into two facing boards, separated by a central stand where the challenge card is placed, and each player has their own set of pieces made of joined coloured beads. Both players solve the same type of challenge at the same time, and whoever finishes first wins the round.

How it works

Each card shows which pieces start on the board. From that position you have to fit the rest until the gap is filled. It is the same kind of reasoning as in single-player bead puzzles, rotating and flipping pieces until they fit, but with the added pressure of the clock set by your opponent. The box describes several ways to play, including solo.

What level is it for?

The cards cover different difficulty levels, which lets you balance a game between players of different abilities, for example an adult with a hard challenge and a child with an easy one. The box recommends it from age 7. When you have finished, the pieces and cards are stored in the case itself.
