The Jerry's Nugget deck was born around 1970, when the Las Vegas casino ordered it from the United States Playing Card Company for its tables. It was never used: it spent years in storage, was later sold as a souvenir and, thanks largely to magician Lee Asher, became a cult item until it sold out in the late 1990s. After years of negotiation, Asher and Expert Playing Card Company obtained a licence to reissue it. The Modern Feel line is the version intended for everyday use, and this is its coral variant.

Design

It keeps the back and faces of the original design, with the Jerry's Nugget logo, but in a new colour palette. The Modern Feel series has been published in teal, coral, green, orange and yellow.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) on a premium card stock that is crushed to match the thickness of an original Jerry's, with an Air Cushion finish (a fine embossing that helps the cards glide). The cut is traditional, the classic die cut that makes faro shuffles easier (precisely interweaving the two halves of the deck).
