Description
Queen Bee is a deck by Ellusionist and the third in its bee-themed line, after Killer Bee and Super Bee. Unlike its predecessors, which leave a thin white halo around the back, here the design runs right to the edge of the card. The project also aimed to draw attention to the decline of bee populations.

Design
The borderless back repeats a pattern of bees flying in opposite directions, with a single yellow bee as an accent in the top corners. The faces are white, with suit symbols arranged in their own way, and on each number card one of the symbols represents a hidden beehive. The court cards are built from interlocking hexagons, like the cells of a honeycomb, and fine lines.
The tuck box, made by a specialist printer, is of matte yellow paper, thicker than usual, with debossed details on the sides and front, and a back with black stripes in foil (metallic film) featuring the deck’s Queen of Clubs.
Manufacturing
It is printed by Cartamundi in Belgium on E7 stock, the Ellusionist card stock that debuted with its Blue Cohorts deck: thinner and more durable, designed for magic, play and handling.
