The Star Wars Gold Special Edition is a theory11 deck officially licensed by Star Wars. The publisher first released separate versions devoted to the light side and the dark side; this edition brings both sides together in one deck and dresses it in a gold reminiscent of the droid C-3PO.

Design

The back is printed with gold foil (a metallic stamping that shimmers as the cards move under the light). The deck features characters from both sides of the saga, such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Rey, Darth Vader and Kylo Ren, among others. The tuck box combines gold foil and clear reflective foil: on the front it evokes the cockpit window of the Millennium Falcon and on the back, the window of the Emperor’s throne room.

Manufacturing

It is an edition by theory11, the American publisher known for its decks licensed from major franchises. This same gold version is also included, twice over, in the collector’s set The Force Box Set, alongside the red (dark side), blue (light side), black and silver editions.
