Design
It was designed by Phill Smith. The tuck box bears the label “No 92”, a nod to the New York Consolidated Card Company, which made the first Bee decks in 1892. The Ace of Spades and the Joker combine elements from both brands, so features of Bee and of Cherry can be recognised on the same card.
Manufacturing
It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Bee stock with a Bee Cambric finish, Bee's characteristic fine texture, which gives a smooth glide and makes it easy to spread even fans. The red version is limited to 3,500 units and the publisher states that it will not be reprinted.
