This is the Ruby edition, in red, of the NOC Luxury Collection V2, a luxury series based on NOC decks. It is published by Riffle Shuffle and The House of Playing Cards, and was launched in three colours named after gems: Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

Design

It keeps the simple back that identifies NOC, here enhanced with cold foil (metallic stamping applied to very fine lines). It is a fully marked deck: the back includes discreet signals indicating suit and value, designed for use in magic. The tuck box uses 300 g matte, iridescent Italian board, with four levels of embossing, two hot foil stampings (Kurz foil from Germany) and a fully metallic interior. Each deck carries a hand-applied foil seal, numbered and with a die-cut edge so it can be opened without damaging the box.

Manufacturing

It is made by Cartamundi on its Slimline paper, thinner than standard, with a B9 True Linen finish (a linen-type embossing that helps the cards glide). The print run is 7,500 decks per colour and no reprint is planned.
