This deck is the Tally-Ho brand’s first collaboration with another company: Orbit Playing Cards, Chris Brown’s brand, well known in the world of cardistry (the art of creating eye-catching shapes and moves with cards). The design is by Daniel Schneider, and the collaboration was announced at Card-Con 2022, the convention organised by Bicycle and the United States Playing Card Company. This is the blue-backed version.

Design

It starts from the classic Tally-Ho Circle Back, a pattern of fine lines with a circle in the centre, and replaces that circle with Orbit’s, so at first glance it looks like a regular Tally-Ho. On the faces, the classic Tally-Ho jokers are kept and a custom joker featuring the Orbit astronaut is added. The court cards have been redesigned for this edition.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Bicycle thin crushed stock, a thinner, pressed card stock that makes the deck feel broken in straight out of the box, something many cardistry enthusiasts look for.
