Spectrum is a Tally-Ho deck designed for magic in which each card has a back of a different colour: when spread face down, the 54 backs form a rainbow gradient. It is made by the United States Playing Card Company and comes prepared at the factory, ready to use straight out of the box.

Design

The back design is the same on every card, but the colour changes from one to the next until the spectrum is complete. The faces are standard, except for the Ace of Spades and the jokers, which have their own design; both the Ace and one of the jokers hide a revelation in their artwork, intended for prediction effects. The deck can be presented as a red-backed or blue-backed deck without breaking the gradient.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Tally-Ho stock and supplied in Si Stebbins order, a preset stack well known among magicians. That is why, when spread, the faces look shuffled while the backs keep the rainbow, and it can be cut without disturbing the spectrum. It also includes two gaff cards (gaff cards for specific effects).
