Rainbow Unicorn Fun Time is a deck by De'vo vom Schattenreich, the well-known deck creator and card manipulator, published through his Handlordz brand. It started as an April Fools’ Day joke in 2012 and ended up becoming a deck much sought after by collectors. This special edition brings retouched colours, a new tuck box and an extra card with a magic trick.

Design

The back is a twin tip design, a signature idea of De'vo’s: the artwork is designed so that fanning the deck one way reveals a rainbow, and fanning it the other way reveals a fluffy pink motif. The court cards and the Ace of Spades are custom and tongue-in-cheek, and one of the jokers shows a unicorn spewing a rainbow. The illustrations are by Brett Gross and the tuck box design is by Jay Peteranetz.

Manufacturing

It is printed by The United States Playing Card Company with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide). It is a limited edition.
