Description
Hypnotik is a deck published by Spielkartenshop, a German shop specialising in playing cards, and funded through a crowdfunding campaign. Its theme is the optical illusion: a simple but striking pattern that plays tricks on the eye, combined with the artwork of the designer Sam Hayles.

Design
The optical effect does not stop at the back, which has a white border: it is also applied to the suit symbols and to the court cards, whose faces are illustrated using the same device. It includes three custom jokers. The tuck box is a wrapped style and has no seal; the cards come wrapped inside.
Manufacturing
It is printed in Belgium by Cartamundi with a True Linen B9 finish, a linen-textured finish (a very fine pattern on the surface) that makes the cards smooth and flexible in the hand.
