The QiYi Warrior 4x4 M is the magnetic version of the 4x4 in the Warrior family, QiYi’s budget range. It arrived in 2025 as an entry point into magnetic 4x4s, with factory-fitted magnets and a slightly more compact size than usual.

How it works

The magnets are built into the pieces and hold the layers in the aligned position at the end of each turn. On a 4x4 this matters especially: when you turn the inner layers it is easy to leave something misaligned and cause a lock-up. Retailers describe the magnets as stable without being strong. The 4x4 is usually solved by reduction: first the centres, then edge pairing and finally as a 3x3.

Design

It is stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic itself), in bright colours. It measures 59 mm, slightly smaller than the usual 60 mm for a 4x4, and weighs about 110 g, so it is easy to handle for medium-sized hands. QiYi also offers it in a UV-coated version.

What level it suits

It suits anyone who can already solve the 3x3 and wants to try the 4x4 with the help of magnets without a big outlay. Anyone who ends up practising the format a lot can move on to higher-end models later.
