The AoSu V7 is the seventh generation of MoYu’s competition 4x4. This is the Single-Track variant with UV coating: the same layout of 96 magnets between pieces as the basic version, but with a glossy surface.

The three versions

MoYu offers the AoSu V7 in three magnetic configurations. The Single-Track only has magnets between pieces, which help the layers stop in alignment; the Double-Track adds magnets between the corners and the core (ball-core), and the Triple-Track also adds magnets on the inner edges. The Single-Track has neither a ball-core nor magnets on the inner edges.

Design

It’s stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic itself) and has a UV coating, a glossy layer that offers more grip than the matte finish of the non-UV version. The pieces use the V7’s dragon scale design, the outer layer is wider for stability, and the anti-pop system reduces the risk of pieces popping out during sharp turns. It measures 58 mm.

The 4x4 is an official WCA event. This variant suits anyone who wants the AoSu V7 mechanism with the grip of UV coating but without stepping up to the ball-core versions.
