Deck ONE is a theory11 deck illustrated by Homer Liwag, a designer with more than thirty years of experience in production design and concept art for film and television. As a child he drew spaceships and vehicles inspired by 1970s science fiction, and that influence shows in the deck's industrial aesthetic. The Industrial Edition is the second version, released after the first sold out.

Design

Liwag drew the tuck box, the back, the jokers, the Ace of Spades and all the court cards. The kings, queens and jacks have a distinctive patina, like aged metal. The cards are the same as in the first edition; what changes is the tuck box, redesigned with a worn metallic look, as if it had spent time in a jacket pocket.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC). The tuck box is made of paper, not metal: it uses a board 25% thicker than that of theory11's usual tuck boxes and a varnish that stands up better to daily use.
