Covenant is one of the editions of Odyssey, the space-themed deck series associated with designer Sergio Roca which, since 2016, has built quite a following among magicians and cardistry enthusiasts (cardistry being the art of performing flourishes and eye-catching moves with cards). This edition is distributed through Feel The Universe Card Co. and was released as a print run limited to 1,000 units.

Design

Like other decks in the series, it comes with a science fiction story. Covenant is the name of a civilisation that shares a nebula with Exodus: it was banished to a remote corner, lost a civil war and had to accept a pact, which is what gives the deck its name. The cards are printed with metallic ink on both the back and the faces. The tuck box is matte grey, with turquoise and silver foil details (metallic stamping).

Manufacturing

The paper is described as having a vintage feel, that is, a sensation similar to that of old decks, and the finish is called Legendary. Each unit arrives sealed in a clear security wrap.
