The Circle Back Heart is an edition of Tally-Ho, the brand created in 1885 by Andrew Dougherty and now produced by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC). It was made in 2022, mainly for Asian markets, with the label “Cardistry No. 10”, and it has a blue and green sister, the Fan Back Arrow; the two were also sold together in the True Love box.

Design

It starts from the Circle Back, one of Tally-Ho’s two classic backs, reinterpreted in shades of pink and purple. Those who have tried it highlight a very vivid, almost fluorescent pink. The faces are custom-made, with the aim of making cardistry moves (the art of creating eye-catching displays and moves with cards) look even better. Tally-Ho’s Circle and Fan backs have been among cardists’ favourites since the early 2000s.

Manufacturing

It is printed by USPCC in poker size on its cardistry stock. The Linoid finish is an embossing (a very fine relief on the surface) comparable to Bicycle’s Air Cushion, which helps the cards run against each other and fan easily. Some users notice a slightly different feel from a regular Tally-Ho, though just as smooth.
