Design
The whole design draws on the show: the illustrations feature the stage set and Studio 8H, where it is broadcast from. The court cards, the Ace of Spades, the joker and the tuck box are custom and nod to well-known segments and characters, such as the satirical news segment Weekend Update, Stefon or The Ladies Man, plus the odd cowbell in memory of one of its most famous sketches. The box is illustrated inside and out.
Manufacturing
It is printed by The United States Playing Card Company in the United States, with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide). As is usual with theory11, it uses FSC-certified paper (from sustainably managed forests) and vegetable-based inks.
