Description
The Eclipse edition is part of Les Méliès, the series of decks that Derek McKee launched in 2013 as a tribute to Georges Méliès, the French illusionist and film director who blazed a trail in special effects. This version revolves around A Trip to the Moon, his best-remembered film, and comes in shades of red.

Design
It keeps the highly detailed back of the previous editions and swaps the tuck box for a new one. The series features an original Ace of Spades and two exclusive jokers. What sets it apart are the small secrets scattered throughout the deck, designed so that a magician can make use of them in performance; the publisher encourages you to discover them through use rather than explaining them.
Manufacturing
It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossed texture that helps the cards glide). The red Eclipse version was announced as limited to 2,500 decks. Michael Blau took part in refining the design of the series.
