Description
DianSheng’s magnetic Mirror Skewb brings the Mirror Cube idea to the Skewb: all the faces are the same colour and the pieces have different heights, so it loses its cube shape when scrambled. This version is made of clear yellow plastic and has magnets inside.

How it works
It keeps the Skewb mechanism: each turn rotates half the puzzle around an axis that runs through two opposite corners. With no colours to guide you, each piece is recognised by its height. The centres have an orientation, so they can be in place but rotated, and they have to be corrected with Skewb moves; it’s an extra step that doesn’t exist on the normal Skewb.
Design
The magnets pull the pieces as they approach the aligned position, giving more precise turning than the non-magnetic version; some users describe the magnetic strength as gentle. The clear plastic lets you see the inside and gives it a different look from opaque Mirror puzzles. DianSheng makes it in other clear colours and also in a non-magnetic version.
