The MoYu WeiLong V11 is the eleventh generation of the WeiLong, MoYu’s competition 3x3 series. This UV version keeps the mechanism of the standard magnetic V11, with 48 magnets and a spring core, and swaps the matt finish for a glossy, high-grip UV coating.

How it works

The 48 magnets between pieces make each layer tend to align at the end of a turn, giving precision at high speed. The core lets you set the tension (how tightly the layers are held together) and the spring compression (how springy the turning feels) separately, with 8 settings each: 64 combinations, changed with MoYu’s tool. It’s best to make small changes and try a few solves before settling on a setup.

Finish

It’s stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic). The UV coating is a glossy layer that improves grip, which you notice in long sessions or with damp hands, and protects the plastic from wear. The internal mechanics are the same as on the matt V11.

The V11 range

The V11 is sold in four variants: standard matt, UV, UV with an 8-magnet core, and the top version with MagLev and a 20-magnet core. This is the second one, with no magnets in the core.
