MoYu · Rubik's Cubes and Speedcubing

MoYu cubes: WeiLong V11 MagLev, AoSu, AoChuang, AoShi and AoFu for competition, plus the budget MeiLong line by MFJS for getting started.

MoYu (魔域) is a Chinese speed cube manufacturer. Its high-end MoYu cube for 3x3 is the WeiLong series, and its big cubes have their own names: AoSu (4x4), AoChuang (5x5), AoShi (6x6) and AoFu (7x7). Its sub-brand MoFang JiaoShi, also known as MFJS or Cubing Classroom, makes the budget MeiLong line. Here you have both: competition cubes and cubes for getting started.

MoYu and the WeiLong: a record-setting 3x3

The WeiLong is the line MoYu competes with in 3x3. With a WeiLong GTS2, China's Yusheng Du solved a 3x3 in 3.47 seconds at the Wuhu Open in November 2018, a world record that stood until 2023. You can read about that and other records in our article on Rubik's Cube world records.

We stock the MoYu WeiLong V11 in its magnetic version with UV coating and in the top version, with MagLev (repelling magnets instead of springs) and a ball core with 20 magnets.

How to choose a MoYu cube

For getting started

Recommended: MeiLong 3C 3x3, MeiLong 2x2 and 3x3 pack, MeiLong 2x2 to 7x7 pack

Budget cubes without magnets. The six-cube pack covers all the official NxN events. For your first 3x3, follow our step-by-step method.

First magnets

Recommended: MeiLong 3x3 M, RS3 M V5, MeiLong 4x4 M, MeiLong 5x5 M, MeiLong M set with timer

Factory magnets at a budget level. The set includes magnetic 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 cubes with a timer and a mat.

Competition

Recommended: WeiLong V11 MagLev Ball-Core, WeiLong V11 UV, AoSu V7 Triple-Track, AoChuang V6, AoShi V4, AoFu V5

For people who already practise CFOP and want a cube with plenty of adjustments. If the AoSu Triple-Track feels like too much, the Single-Track version has lighter magnets.

MFJS also makes shape mods with a 3x3 or Skewb mechanism, such as the Mastermorphix or the Windmill, and very big cubes such as the MeiLong 10x10 V2. You will also find them in unusual cubes and shape mods.

MoYu FAQ

Are MoYu, MFJS and MeiLong the same thing?

MoFang JiaoShi (MFJS, or Cubing Classroom) is a MoYu sub-brand focused on budget cubes, and MeiLong is the name of that line. WeiLong, AoSu and the rest are the MoYu range.

What is MagLev?

A tensioning system in which repelling magnets replace the spring in each centre. Turning is quieter and has less friction; at MoYu you will find it on the WeiLong V11 MagLev.

What does Ball-Core mean?

That the core is a sphere with magnets that pull the pieces towards the centre. It gives more stable turning and is common on the top versions of each model.

Which MoYu cube should I give?

For a complete beginner, a MeiLong; if they can already solve the 3x3, a MeiLong M or the RS3 M V5. You will find more ideas in which Rubik's Cube to give and in best speed cubes.
