A version of the classic Bicycle deck in which the Rider Back is printed in metallic gold ink instead of the usual red or blue. The faces are the brand’s standard ones, so apart from the back colour it behaves like an ordinary Bicycle.

Design

The back reproduces the Rider Back artwork (a cherub riding a bicycle surrounded by ornamental motifs) in gold. The faces, court cards and jokers follow Bicycle’s traditional design. It usually comes with special cards, known as gaff cards (gimmicked or prepared cards for magic effects).

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on its Bicycle stock with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide). Bear in mind that the metallic ink can wear at the edges and in the areas under most pressure if the cards are handled daily, something some magicians mention when using them in routines with few cards.
