How it works

It’s a shape mod (a puzzle that keeps the mechanism of a well-known one but changes the shape of its pieces): inside it works like a 2x2, but each layer has a different thickness. When scrambled, the cube is distorted into an irregular block, and solving it means restoring its cube silhouette. The logic is that of a normal 2x2, so anyone who can already solve one can apply the same method; the difficulty lies in recognising each piece by its volume.

Use and care

It comes lubricated from the factory and turns smoothly from the start. It’s best to turn only complete layers and not to force the corners by twisting them on themselves, as a piece could break. It has no magnets. ShengShou also makes it in white with gold stickers.
