How it works
The magnets in the edges and corners pull the pieces as they approach the aligned position, so each layer tends to stop in place with a small “click”. This makes turning more precise and helps you chain algorithms together without misaligning the cube. The pieces have a non-stick design that reduces friction between them. Some users describe the magnetic strength as moderate, in line with its price range.
Materials and finish
It’s stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic itself) and has a UV coating, a glossy layer that gives more grip and helps stop the cube slipping in sweaty hands. It’s a very light cube for its size. QiYi also sells the magnetic version without coating, with a matte surface.
