What’s included

The robot box has arms and legs that move up and down, and the front window comes off so you can put the cube in or take it out. Several robots can be stacked on top of each other to form figures. It serves as packaging, display stand and toy all at once.

The cube

MeiLong is MoYu’s entry-level cube series, sold under its sub-brand MFJS (MoFang JiaoShi, “cube classroom”). This 2x2 is stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic), turns smoothly and is a comfortable size, and it’s solved with the standard 2x2 methods: two layers per axis and eight corner pieces. As with all 2x2s, it’s best not to force a corner to twist on itself.

What level is it for?

It suits children and beginners getting started with cubes, and makes a good gift, as it combines the puzzle and a display toy in the same box. It’s also handy for keeping track of your cube on your desk.
