The MeiLong 10x10 V2 is the second generation of the 10x10 in MoYu’s MeiLong range, sold under its sub-brand MoFang JiaoShi (MFJS). This is the magnetic version with ball-core, which adds positioning magnets to a cube with a hundred visible pieces per face.

Magnets and core

The 256 magnets pull the pieces so that each layer stops in alignment at the end of a turn. The ball-core is a core with 8 magnets that pull the corners towards the centre and stabilise the whole cube. On a ten-layer cube, where a slight misalignment in an inner layer can lock up the turn, that help makes a noticeable difference.

Mechanism and design

Inside, it has a six-arm core with screw-adjustable tension, reinforced inner layers and an anti-pop system to stop pieces popping out. The outer layers are wider and the rounded corners make corner cutting easier (the ability to turn even when the layers aren’t fully aligned). It’s stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic itself) and, at 69.5 mm, compact for its number of layers.

Which level

The 10x10 isn’t an official WCA event. It suits anyone who already solves big cubes by reduction and wants a stable 10x10 for long solves.
