The YuXin Little Magic 3x3 M UV is the magnetic, UV-finished version of the Little Magic, one of YuXin’s most widespread budget 3x3s. The UV treatment leaves the surface glossy and protects it from scratches, and the magnets help the layers settle at the end of each turn.

How it works

In a magnetic cube, small magnets between pieces make each layer tend to align at the end of a turn, which reduces lock-ups and gives a more controlled feel. On the Little Magic M the magnet strength is described as medium: you feel each layer arrive without the cube feeling heavy. The tension, meaning how tightly the layers are held together, is adjusted with the internal screws.

Finish

It’s stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic) and has a UV coating, a glossy layer that improves grip for many hands and stands up better to wear. Some users find it a little dry out of the box; a drop of lubricant smooths it out.

What level is it for?

It works well as a first magnetic 3x3 for anyone who has already learnt on a basic cube and wants to start bringing their times down, or as a second cube. YuXin also sells non-magnetic versions and a later V2.
