Black Flower is part of AssoKappa’s collection of decks, which presented it as a continuation of titles such as Contemplations, White Flower, Gold Contemplations and Nirvana. The idea came from Jack Nobile, and the publisher presents it as a deck with the ambition of being a work of art.

Design

The design is by Kiran Kuruvithadam, a designer well established in the world of custom decks. It is the dark-toned companion to White Flower, published by the same house. In addition to the 52 playing cards, it includes four special cards.

Manufacturing

It was printed by the United States Playing Card Company on crushed Bee card stock (subjected to a pressing process that makes it more flexible and durable) with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide). It is poker size with rounded corners, and the tuck box comes without a seal. Production was handled by Fabrizio Muscogiuri and Jack Nobile.
