The AoSu V7 is the seventh generation of MoYu’s competition 4x4. This is the Single-Track variant without UV coating, the most basic in the range: 96 magnets between pieces and a matte finish.

The three versions

MoYu offers the AoSu V7 in three magnetic configurations. The Single-Track only has magnets between pieces, which help the layers stop in alignment; the Double-Track adds magnets between the corners and the core (ball-core), and the Triple-Track also adds magnets on the inner edges. This version does without those extras and is the lightest of the three.

Design

It’s stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic itself), with a matte surface offering medium grip. The pieces use the internal design MoYu calls dragon scale, intended to smooth out turning, and the outer layer is wider for added stability. The V7 also improves the anti-pop system, that is, the resistance to pieces popping out during sharp turns. It measures 58 mm, a compact size for a 4x4.

Which level

The 4x4 is an official WCA event. This variant suits anyone who wants the AoSu V7 mechanism without the extra magnets or the coating of the higher versions, or who prefers the feel of matte plastic.
