This is the most complete version of the MoYu WeiLong V11: it brings together the MagLev system, a ball-core with 20 magnets and the glossy UV finish in a single 3x3. It has 100 magnets in total and weighs around 67 g, slightly more than the other V11 variants.

Mechanism

Three systems work together. The magnets between pieces align each layer at the end of a turn. The ball-core is a central sphere with 20 magnets that pull the corners and edges towards the centre, giving stability during fast turns. And MagLev replaces the springs with magnets that repel each other to keep the layers under compression, for lighter, quieter turning.

Setup

It offers 8 tension settings (how tightly the layers are held together) and 8 MagLev settings, 64 combinations changed with the included tool. Users agree that the feel varies a great deal with the setup and that it’s worth experimenting patiently; some find it only cuts well (turning even when the layers aren’t aligned, known as corner cutting) at the loosest tensions.
